First Day of European Data Forum 2012 was great success

On 6 - 7 June 2012 - for the first time ever - the European Data Forum (EDF) takes place at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. The first day of this brand new conference format around the issue of the rising data economy and several topics around and along the data value chain (as big data, open data, linked data et al) was a great success!
From ~ 220 registered people about 155 participated on the first day - the feedback on the 1st day programme was very positive - it was seen as a good mix of on the one hand: academia, public administration and industry, and on the other hand: of the different covered topics around data related issues! The programme of the 1st conference day is available here.
Some very interesting impressions, comments and discussions of talks and discussions can be found on twitter in the #edf2012 twitter stream. Also the 1st set of photos from day 1 are available now. More information and collection of slides will follow soon!
The 2nd day of EDF2012 here in Copenhagen has just started with a keynote talk by Nigel Shadbolt of University of Southampton - at the moment an interesting session of selected talks from the call for presentations is happening....
